Colombian filter manufacturers generally need to use the sheet cutting service to be able to use these in the filter assembly. To achieve the cuts of these sheets, shearing machines are used, which exist in different models, one of the models is a slitting machine, with this model can save room space and money in terms of components amount that it has respect another model. For an average businessman dedicated to manufacturing filters require specific designs, such in JAPAN filters enterprise where a machine of this type is required to make a maximum of eight cuts to galvanized Steel sheets at different lengths. To achieve the design of this machine, methodologies and engineering tools taken from other degree Works and various sources such as the Mott book were used. The machine can be used in the cutting of Steel sheets and with adjustments it can be used in the cutting of the filter paper.
