Spinal cord injury is defined as any traumatic or non-traumatic event or accident in which the spinal cord is affected and with this causes damage to normal sensory, motor or autonomic function. This is classified according to the level of injury to the spinal column and can cause a series of alterations or sequelae in the motor and social part. The objective of this monograph is to expose the possibility that exists to improve the quality of life of people with spinal injury, from the physical part, with the practice of adequate physical exercise, showing the benefits that these activities imply. Concluding that sport is a tool that can improve the quality of life of people, including people who are victims of spinal cord injuries, given that practicing physical activity has a lower risk of suffering from some disease and also improves the person's self-esteem. since it feels useful to society.
