In Latin America, the use of credit cards has been studied and observed, as well as the increase in purchases of the same, thus generating changes and emotional and psychological implications. It is planned to carry out a detailed analysis of the acquisition of classic credit cards and the perceived emotional value of those who use them. Surveys were carried out with people who have classic credit cards using a descriptive quantitative method. To do this, some filters were carried out, among which were people who currently resided in Colombia and who have this type of credit card (not another type of card). The results show a basic quality and make it possible to review expectations to the extent that it provides quality or benefits, studying if they really use these as a support to their finances or if there are underlying psychological reasons.
