This convention contains and defines the full range of human rights that must be respected both nationally and internationally by the signatory States, as well as the instruments and tools available to guarantee their respect.
This convention brought with it two organizations to learn about the violations of human rights recognized in the Agreement: the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
