Resumen
The objective of this study is to give an approach to the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility and the way in which it has impacted the communities, for this purpose a description of the theories and models that describe the relationship between the competitiveness and social objectives of the companies is made. The theoretical review shows that the fulfillment of social and ethical objectives brings great benefits to firms, allowing them to maintain themselves in the long term in a scenario of sustainability. It is found that CSR should be a totally intentional, committed and continuous act that contributes to a positive and transcendental good, using different strategies so that all the stakeholders involved obtain the common good sought.
