Cooperative institutions constitute inalienable collective wealth that creates sustainable local prosperity. They allow all people, including the poorest, to take charge of their development and become self-sufficient. Their good practices and their roots in the community are a protection against excesses, risks and overly aggressive practices. Their dependence on their members' savings and capital as sources of financing gives them an independence that makes them more resistant to external shocks and is a guarantee of stability in the global financial landscape.
They participate in the creation of quality jobs (directly and indirectly) and are an important driving force for economic growth. As they are oriented to the needs of its members and customers, they promote innovation and sustainable development. In the present investigation it was tried to define the feasibility for the creation of a microfinance cooperative in the Municipality of Aguachica-Cesar, through the development of the components of the business plan, in a first part the market study was presented, followed by proposed business model, in a third part the technical analysis that justifies the creation of a microfinance cooperative, in addition to that in a quarter the differentiating and innovation factor of the proposal in this document is presented, followed by a financial analysis that allows the evidence of the feasibility of the investigation, complementing it with the legal framework that is required to create the microfinance entity.
