Maternidad y lactancia exclusiva: narrativas sobre la satisfacción sexual, el autoconcepto y la construcción de la identidad

Abstract

The present degree work is framed in the line of research "Subjectivities and identities" of the Santo Tomás University, where the objective of this research is to recognize how identity is constructed from the breastfeeding process taking into account the self-concept and sexual satisfaction in a group of lactating women. The paradigmatic and epistemological bases that support it are given from social constructivism and hermeneutics. In this way, a qualitative research was used in which a narrative-biographical design was used, with the technique of in-depth interviews and autobiographies. The participants of this research are women who are in the process of breastfeeding and whose children are 0 to 6 months old. It is concluded that having a good experience in breastfeeding favors the construction of the role they have as mothers, and in turn, improves their self-concept, the relationship they have with themselves and their partners.
