Resumen
In the last few years, we have evidenced a necessity to obtain reliable information after the application of surveys, however, in this process, there are areas that are not possible to represent because they have small or null sample size which generates a limitation at the moment to develop the analysis of the information. For these areas, small area estimation is capable to generate results with the support of auxiliary information, found in administrative records or history data. With the objective to obtain acceptable coefficients of variation. In this article, we developed an application of area-level and unit-level models where it was
estimated the average of the score in the test of mathematics at the level of Entidades Territoriales Certi cadas (ETC), at the PRUEBA SABER 11 done by Instituto Colombiano para la Evaluación de la Educación (Icfes) in 2017 year.
