The objective of this research is to identify the psychological and social characteristics
that guide the cultural consumption of video games open world in adolescents between 12 and 17
years Bogotá through the exploration and description of the patterns of behavior and
socialization, to develop strategies to guide the use and ownership in education and responsible
consumption. A questionnaire composed of open and closed questions, which inquired by aspects
of consumer culture, identity, lifestyle, socialization processes, audiovisual entertainment
industry and culture was applied. Within the analyzed results could be identified in adolescents
from different schools in the city of Bogotá, there is a latent tendency within the entertainment
industry, emerging a tool like video games that supply more than needs, desire to leave the area
comfort.
