Resumen
The purpose of this article is to describe the discriminatory and xenophobic
processes that occur within the Bogota households in which Venezuelan domestic workers
work as domestic servants. Thus, based on a qualitative methodology and with a hermeneutic methodological approach, a study was developed with the participation of 10
Venezuelan migrant women who have worked as domestic employees in the city of Bogota
in internal condition during the last years of the migratory crisis. Now, the process of
analysis of the document is proposed from the categorization of this population - based on
the experiences collected - as migrant women in internal domestic work, in which possible
practices of discrimination and xenophobia are configured. Finally, these women workers
are exposed to the dynamics immersed in the homes in which they work, where their place
of origin and their condition as migrant women influence their labor and personal
development within the home.
