Resumen
The road "El Camino Ganadero" 21 south street between Carrera 22 and the intersection of Avenida los Maracos, is a very important section for the city of Villavicencio, since it communicates the traffic of several very crowded neighborhoods such as: San Antonio, Kirpas , La Carolina, Villa Melida, Los Gemelos, among others. In addition, in its tourist aspect, this road corridor is very busy at times of festivities, since it is located in the area, the "Las Malocas" park, a plains cultural center of the capital of Meta.
On the other hand, it should be noted that in recent years there have been deteriorations in the structure of the pavement, affecting its functional capacity and putting the lives of users who travel on this road at risk.
For this reason, in this document, the current damage presented by the pavement surface is evaluated, qualitatively and quantitatively based on the methodology established by the National Institute of Roads (INVIAS) and the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) methodology. ; in order to propose a maintenance plan.
The high deterioration of the pavement structure of the evaluated section was evidenced in the development of the PCI methodology, which, according to its classification ranges, the state of the structure is in a "regular" classification. In addition, along the road there are various faults, the most recurrent, cracks of various types, patches and potholes, these damages are the main problem of the tread layer, so the maintenance plan is focused on a optimal solution for this type of damage.
Finally, the maintenance plan proposed in this project aims to provide a series of activities, whether corrective, routine, or preventive according to the type of damage presented in the pavement structure, which seek to make a total correction to the damage present in the structure.
