Resumen
The “Boca Doncella” village residents, in the municipality of Puerto Wilches, Santander live in precarious housing conditions due to the cyclical flood phenomenon, and the lack of adaptability of the house to the climatic and geographical determinants of the territory. In light of this problem, the project presents an architectural solution for residential design that, implanted in a model of rural land occupation, responds to the conditions set forth above.
The project identified that this rural population is settled in the high flood risk zone, so that for the housing design it was necessary to establish a land in which the inhabitants could be relocated, before the construction of the houses.
Next, it studies the characteristics of the humid warm climate, in which the lot is located, as well as the social, economic and cultural conditions of the type population; which resulted in the choice of passive bioclimatic design strategies of low cost, consistent with the context of the inhabitants.
In that order, the design identified the theory of the architects Alberto Saldarriaga and Lorenzo Fonseca, which determined that this exercise establishes the architectural and constructive qualities of rural housing based on the economy and culture of the population.
