Resumen
This environmental and economic viability study of a bio-lubricant generated from used vegetable oil from the fast-food industry in commune eight of the Villavicencio city was obtained by means of surveys; more than 50% of the industry is contributing to the reincorporation of these oils, which facilitates the obtaining of raw material for the generation of the bio-lubricant. With the use of this oil and by means of the synthesis process by double transesterification reaction with ethylene glycol, using potassium hydroxide (KOH) and calcium oxide (CaO) as catalysts, fatty acid methyl esters are produced, being this the basis of the biodegradable lubricant obtained, after which it was characterized, taking into account the physicochemical processes, The viscosity index was obtained at a temperature of 40ºc and 100ºc, considering that this characteristic is relevant to determine its potential in the application for the automotive industry as a possible substitute for lubricants derived from hydrocarbons.
A quantitative market study was conducted on the bio lubricant obtained, in which the characteristics of the market were identified by applying surveys strategically in the area of influence of the business model, determining that 87% of the surveyed population would be willing to buy bio lubricant, once the information was compiled, the competitive profile matrix was taken into account where the characteristics of the market are identified and investigated using key instruments to primary and secondary sources of information, using the collection and analysis of the data obtained from the target market: suppliers, marketers and potential customers, projecting the natural bio lubricant product Golden to have a demand of 423. 782 units per year. At the same time, strategic factors were identified, analyzing the potential of mineral and synthetic lubricants with a superior market strength of 3.01 and biodegradable lubricants with a strength of 2.85, this is due to the strong market characteristics and prices they offer in the market
