Significados que Construyen los Jóvenes de la Universidad Santo Tomás, Sede Villavicencio frente al VIH

Abstract

This research identified the meanings created by the young people of the University Santo Tomás, Villavicencio about the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) because it is currently an important issue because of the high numbers of this virus in the department of Meta. The research is qualitative and was carried out through the focus group technique to two students of the eighth semester program of the Faculties of Agricultural Business Administration, Law and Psychology where the meanings were identified from the perspective as the social actors, from the hermeneutical method where HIV was analyzed and the psychological construction attributed to it, where it was found that the meanings that participants create about HIV are related to the context in which they are immersed, taking into account the culture, their beliefs and their academic position.
