Omisión de la prevención del suicidio de reclusos

Abstract

The research studies the normative, jurisprudential and public policies established for the prevention of suicide risk in the population deprived of liberty in Colombia and the implications of its null or deficient application, which concludes the abandonment by the State against to public mental health services in national penitentiary and jail establishments, which in one way or another, ends up violating the fundamental rights of inmates, causing declarations of responsibility of the agencies that are in charge of their management and care, with based on the relationship of special restraint and biopower, of INPEC and USPEC on inmates.
