For more than 50 years, floriculture has become one of the main sources of employment in the Sabana de Bogotá, supplying the basic economic needs of thousands of men and women.
Cundinamarca has 116 municipalities, 16 of them where the main flower companies are located, followed by Antioquia. These more than 550 companies occupy the first line of the non-traditional economy of the country with annual sales that exceed 1,500 million dollars; They generate approximately 90 thousand direct jobs and 60 thousand indirect jobs, a sector that has 65% of the female labor force, mostly mothers head of household (Asocolflores, 2010).
This document seeks to make visible and analyze how the work and practices that women carry out daily in the flower agribusiness; sowing, cutting, packing deteriorate the health of women flower workers, and for this reason not an effect, if not the contrary are the result of a series of causes derived from historical reasons that throughout 50 years of labor and health policies that have not been resolved efficiently added to the labor intermediation that the sector presents.
Therefore in the first chapter the background of the investigation will be developed; in chapter two the problem statement will be developed; in a third chapter the referential framework will be developed taking into account the existing legality, the health of women workers in flowers and closing this chapter with a conceptual theoretical reflection, in the fourth chapter the methodological proposal will be developed where he studied the case. the guide for the survey of the analysis units and the surveyed population, which we will complement with relevant information table, in the fifth chapter the statistical analysis of the data will be carried out, in chapter six the interpretation of the data will be developed in the light of the proposed theory and finally in chapter seven some results of the investigation will be delivered followed by some conclusions.
