Abstract

The following project to design standard templates that contribute to road safety in school environments, through a methodology that allows to identify the particular needs of each educational establishment, establishing opportunities to improve to increase the level of safety in the travel of vulnerable users. The methodology to identify the particular needs of each educational establishment will be based on a compilation and analysis of the traffic accident database provided by the District Secretary of Mobility of Bogotá, a detailed description of the environment of the schools, which will be carried out through a field inspection, a survey process and a record of control of the current state of road signs and infrastructure around the schools. In order to give a final diagnosis of the current situation presented by each educational establishment and define the possible solutions that allow increasing the level of road safety and reducing traffic accidents in school environments.
