This research is the result of the application of theory Diamond Porter on two edges (Factor conditions and related sectors and support) to health tourism in the Special Permanent Free Zones health FOSUNAB and International Hospital Colombia (HIC) in the Metropolitan area of Bucaramanga. This study is a contribution to improving the competitiveness of the institutions mentioned. National competitiveness politics, the development that has taken the health tourism in recent years in Santander and the impact it generates in the competitiveness of the region, have managed to become an area of interest for investors and for all the actors involved in the value chain.
