Resumen
The aim of this investigation is to demonstrate how trade openness influenced the economic growth in Chile from 1973 to 1991. During the regime change, there were structural reforms, such as: company privatization, tax redution, commercial desregulation and labor flexibility. These reforms allowed not only macroeconomic stability, but also a productive transformation, oriented to economic growth. Hence, it analysed each public policy and how affected the main sectors that had and influence on the economic growth of the conuntry. In addition, this proyect analyses the correlation between trade openness ad economic growth during the period.
