Resumen
The use of CAD/CAE/CAM technologies for the development and manufacture of oral implant components for the rehabilitation of edentulous patients is currently reshaping the standard manufacturing process. The use of CAD/CAE/CAM technologies for the development and manufacture of oral implant components for the rehabilitation of edentulous patients is currently reshaping the standard manufacturing process. Within this work you will find described how is the current process of manufacturing and obtaining a support bar for implant-supported hybrid prosthesis, used in the dental technology laboratory of the Universidad Santo Tomás Bucaramanga, which generates a first approach to this conventional manufacturing process, followed by a proposal to improve this manufacturing process through the use of new technological resources. Real cases were provided with which a three-dimensional model was obtained by means of a scanner and a CAD model for its due modification and analysis. It is also intended to design and manufacture the support bar for implant-supported hybrid prostheses, which will be subjected to a finite element analysis to determine the best geometry, to clarify the critical points present, since in many cases, the protocol and definition of the load for an oral rehabilitation study cannot meet the needs of patients and professionals, so the CAE analysis is an important area of research at present. A planning of the manufacturing process of the support bar in the machining centre of the Universidad Santo Tomas, Bogota, is shown, leaving a sample of the simulation using a CAM software giving a viability of the simulation. simulation by means of a CAM software giving a concrete feasibility to the execution of this process and the the execution of this process and generating study alternatives.
