Resumen
This document describes the research process by which the school garden was analyzed as a pedagogical strategy to promote environmental culture in the 35 students of grade 6-2, of Institución Educativa Escuela Normal Superior San Carlos. Carried out under the qualitative paradigm, with a critical social approach and an action research type. During the execution, a description of the behaviors of the participants towards environmental care was carried out, which from their analysis, were established as the basis of the design and application of the garden, carried out through the proposed sessions, which from the experience allowed to conclude the use of the garden in a positive way, by motivating the acquisition of knowledge, knowledge and attitudes that facilitate a more real and intimate understanding of the environmental dimension, its components, factors and interactions that constitute it, an action that is desired to be applied in the course of their lives, of their profession regardless of the area of knowledge in which they are trained, in the understanding of recognizing the human being as an essential part of the elements that make up the environment and their obligation to environmental care.
