This document contains study variables to carry out a simulation model of the traffic flow through VISSIM PTV, in order to identify in great detail and in real time the urban mobility problems present in carrera 33, from 26th to 19th Street, of the road leading to Puerto López, Meta and in Maracos Avenue, from carrera 16 to carrera 14 in the city of Villavicencio, Meta. The methodology that was carried out consisted of a visual auscultation in the field where the type of road, size of lanes, times of traffic lights, average speed of vehicles, lengths of the study sections, existing traffic control devices and the current condition of the pavement structure were identified. To obtain the TPD (Average Daily Traffic), it was carried out by means of vehicle gauging carried out during the peak and valley hours of the day. For the projection of future traffic, historical records of TPDS were used, obtained from INVIAS. It was possible to conclude the absence and lack of routine maintenance of traffic control devices. In addition, the capacity and level of service of the road indicate that the flow is forced, presenting congestion as a result of the recklessness of the drivers themselves.
