Resumen
Spinal cord injury type C is a condition in which there is preservation of the strength
and sensitivity below the level of injury, muscles are not considered weak and susceptible
to functional recovery but therefore merits a multidisciplinary intervention, in which
treatment should be close collaboration of many health professionals including professional
in Physical Culture. One factor that may be incurred in the recovery of patients with spinal
cord injury Type C is the submaximal force exercises which improve interneuronal
connection, turn rehabilitating muscle function and subsequent improved muscle function. Thus, this paper seeks to make a review of qualitative and quantitative studies, that demonstrate the importance of intervention programs and submaximal force as these in turn help improve neuromuscular response providing both: muscle hypertrophy in unaffected muscles and those affected by the disease, and is intended to propose a training program specific submaximal force with other elements of the Colombian population accequibles that bring about the rehabilitation of these patients in our country.
