Resumen
The determination of the main ecological structure of the municipality of Mosquera was made by identifying and charaxterizing the ecosystems present in the municipality of Mosquera – Cundinamarca; which is constituted by natural and transformed environments, according to the characterization of the Ideam ecosystem map (2010), which were subject to classification and prioritization for the determination of the current status and potential of their ecosystems, since within the planning processes, it is important that once the main ecological characteristics of the ecosystems have been identified, within the complex relationship city – region – social system – ecosystem, determinants of environmental conditions are established, and thus the factors of affectation and potentialities of the ecosystem are analyzed, within the specific territorial dynamics.
In order to determine the main ecological structure, it was necessary to carry out an importance/sensitivity methodology (taken from an environmental impact study), where variables and states are defined for each of the evaluated scenarios (ecosystems, hydrography, soils, slopes, coverage, landslide hazards, flood hazards and soil conservation district) in order to relate them and have a global vision of the conditions of the ecosystems and natural resources found in the area.
In order to classify strategic ecosystems, the criteria of German Marquez (2007) and the methodology proposed by Salazar (2013) were applied to identify and prioritize, considering that in this municipality several ecosystems can be found that should enter into a process of recovery, protection and conservation, which tend to improve the quality of life of citizens; standing out ecosystems such as Laguna Herrera, the Gualí wetland and the Tingua wetland and its contour vegetation mainly its ecological connectivity with the Sabrinsky desert.
Furthermore, is born the importance of bringing this Project to the municipality, the useful information to establish the priorities of the ecosystems present there, the sustainable management and the vocation for the conservation of these.
