Resumen
The main objective of this research is to understand with the 19 to 25-year-old gamers from the city of Villavicencio, the construction of their virtual and face-to-face links. This research is qualitative in nature. The information collection process was through a focus group and a semi-structured interview. When analyzing the information, the face-to-face and virtual links of the gamers were recognized, as well as the way in which the face-to-face links are maintained through virtuality and how the virtual links enable the development of new skills in the participants was identified. Likewise, the life cycle of the young adult stands out, where there are no complications at the family level and allows communication between peers and a greater bond in their affective relationships. In conclusion, the connections that are generated through video games or communication platforms allow the permanence of the links and generate tools for their routine, in the social, work and personal environment.
