Resumen
The objective of the present study was to determine the effect of manipulation of the duration of punishment and the interval between reinforcement and punishment in the reversibility of impulsive behavior. The participants were 32 students (16 men and 16 women) from the Santo Tomás University Villavicencio, aged between 18 and 35 years. The present study is part of a quasi-experimental quantitative method, with a post-test design with a single group. The instruments were a record table, secondary reinforcers of edible type, glasses with a mark of 2.5 ounces. For the punishment phase, a rubber filter, mercury thermometer, cell phone Samsung Galaxy s6 brand was used to make the filming. Two experiments were carried out: in which the duration of the punishment and the time interval between reinforcement and punishment were manipulated. It has been possible to identify that the reversibility of the impulsive behavior is related to the increase in the time of punishment and the waiting time between reinforcement and punishment. It was possible to respond to the objectives set for the development of the research, a coherence of the results of the research was evidenced in the relation with the classic and contemporary data of the investigative antecedents and a quite relevant contribution to the established behavioral tasks was achieved. currently for the study of self-control.
