Arteterapia como medio psicoterapéutico para eventos traumáticos

Abstract

Summary The purpose of this project is to describe the state of art therapy as a psychotherapeutic means for traumatic events of children during the last decade, whereby the following research question arises: What is the state of research in art therapy in the approach of traumatic events in children? In order to carry out the research, a state-of-the-art methodology is used with 50 references, which have been selected with the following criteria: research articles, degree projects, university repository works, and master's work of the last ten years, with keywords such as art therapy, children and traumatic events. As a research instrument, matrices of analysis are developed by categories, where the study phenomena are grouped by means of concepts. The results obtained show that art therapy does have a level of functionality based on different types of methodologies which can be both quantitative and qualitative to account for the comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and support provided.
