The research called “Didactic Strategy to transform the teaching practice in order to achieve significant learning in the Science class” deals with pedagogical strategies in which a systemic and complex approach was used. Besides, there is a line of investigation which was centered in the research/intervention. This facilitated the construction and transformation of knowledge so as to improve the teaching practice.
The main purpose of the study is to enhance the teaching processes and the level of knowledge acquisition in the students from sixth grade at the Institución Educativa Los Libertadores in Consacá, Nariño. It is expected that the students get significant learning and a more active participation in class.
The didactic unit which is the reseach product was developed by means of several activities which take into account the previous knowledge and aim to explore the different topics through research and experimentation. Consequently, students are led to reflect on the learnt concepts while using them in a specific context.
