Determinantes socioeconómicos de la participación en el mercado laboral en la población con discapacidad del Municipio de Girón – Santander (2018)

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyse the socio-economic determinants that affect the participation in the labor market of people with disability status in the Municipality of Girón (Santander). Based on the “Registry for the Location and Characterization of People with Disabilities” survey conducted by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Colombia during 2018, data provided by "Giron’s Secretariat of the population with Disabilities”. Previously, this population is characterised in order to establish a reference profile. Based on the results obtained, formulated proposals in favour of people in the condition of disability for their employment to promote labor participation in the Municipality of Girón – Santander. Also, identify strengths and weaknesses in the local labor market for the implementation of incentives and strategies by the government.
