The training of the new generation of engineers proposes a challenge in the new eras of information, technology and its use has been projected disproportionately, constantly advancing to new methodologies and ways of communicating and expressing information. In the following work, the effectiveness of the use of augmented reality in the school and university environment is evaluated, this through a geosimulator, which is proposed as a guiding and support tool for engineering education.
The geosimulator provides an interactive real-time simulation, from which the operation of the contour lines, the formation of reliefs and the simulation of water and runoff can be observed. The accessibility that the geosimulator allows helps that engineering topics can be understood regardless of the age range or skills of the attendees and that a high achievement of knowledge is generated while maintaining a high degree of interest from the participants for being fully didactic the which is its most important characteristic.
