Resumen
The non-profit NGO AESCO (America, Spain, Solidarity, Cooperation) was founded in 1991 and has approximately 9000 employees. Solidarity is the pillar of its organisation and its purpose is to generate cooperation and development projects between Latin America and Europe with social action themes. During this time, AESCO has consolidated itself as an organisation not only destined to work for the rights of migrants, but also as an entity capable of mediating between institutions and society in general. The purpose of this paper is to show the substantial causes, conditions and motivations that explain the return of Paraguayans from Spain, in order to subsequently analyse variables such as the labour, economic and personal conditions of their new life in their country of origin, as well as the policies and results at the level of employment and entrepreneurship, implemented by the NGO, AESCO, the impact of its projects at the social level with the generation of employment and support for the economy of the Guaraní nation, as well as the behaviour, variables and trends that show an x-ray of those who return from Spain, whether voluntarily or for other reasons.
