Resumen
In March 2020, the WHO declared the coronavirus pandemic, due to alarming levels of spread and simultaneous deaths in countries and continents. Colombia declared a health emergency, mandatory isolation, with difficulties such as physical distance from the prison due to overcrowding, the use of a mask due to the shortage caused by the demand for use worldwide. This led to the investigation and evaluation of the guidelines for control and prevention of COVID 19 cases of the Bucaramanga women's prison. Developing a mixed methodology since it starts from the observation to demonstrate compliance with the biosafety protocols defined by resolution 843 of Min Salud, WHO, the guidelines for control and prevention of cases due to covid-19 for the PPL. A quantitative analysis was carried out with descriptive statistics and percentage quantification of compliance with the criteria when applying the audit tools, showing as the main results, adherence to biosafety protocols in 85%. 100% compliance with the use of the mask, admission and discharge medical examinations, and PCR. The greatest impact is the improvement in access to medical services because CPMSMBUC was increased from 96 hours to 576 monthly medical hours.
