Resumen
This work is the result of the international journey carried out as a degree option in the city of New Orleans and Hammond, with the purpose of visiting the factory of the Elmer Candy Corporation, observing the production process and learning about its operation through its members.
The company Elmer Candy Corporation was founded in 1855 dedicated to the production of seasonal chocolates where there is production during the year but they are for sale only in certain seasons such as Valentine's Day, Easter and Christmas at Wal-Mart outlets and different Retailers in the US also have internet sales throughout the year.
When touring the company, the investment that has been made in the production processes to be more efficient is observed, facing the constant changes in the market, maintaining its position in it and welcoming new clients, but the absence of a marketing department is also observed. which is not an impediment to stand out in the US market since it is the second largest manufacturer of heart boxed chocolates in the US.
As reported by Mr. Ivan Pinto in the visit to the factory, this company generates feelings for its consumers who remember it and buy at points of sale and online, even though there is no advertising and only this in certain seasons in the market.
