Resumen
During the history of humanity, the role of women has been discussed, being limited to reproduction, home maintenance and the care of people; however, thanks to the concern of some thinkers advanced in their time, they questioned these gender stereotypes, recognizing their worth and the absence of biological differences that justified their supposed inferiority to man, which motivated the formation of women's groups, aimed at claiming their right to equality and participation in the destinies of society , incentivizing the introduction of legislative reforms at the national level, which were gradually replicated to all States.
Despite the myriad regulatory framework, through which, States have advocated effective international commitments to protect and eradicate all forms of gender-based violence, women continue to be subject to a liability for discrimination, some cases with fatal consequences, for what they have been, served sentences that declared State responsibility, for lack of prevention, to prevent their occurrence, and/or for lack of due diligence in the investigation and sanction of the officers responsible, to prevent their recurrence.
Therefore, from its analysis it will allow a diagnosis to determine the impact of the violation of its human rights occurring mainly in a purely private scenario; and the role of State intervention, with the aim of effective compliance with international instruments and the Colombian domestic order.
