Resumen
This study aimed to portray the life-story and experiences of an EFL pre-service teacher through her positioning and entrepreneurship of an English private tutor regarding contributions to ELT (English Language Teaching). Although private tutoring in English has been very visible in recent years, there is not enough research that focuses on it. This study follows the perspective of narrative inquiry as a methodology that represents a powerful tool for teachers and learners to gain deeper knowledge and understanding of EFL process and life histories. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interview, journal’s reflections and online English classes. I was the main and active participant of this research because I reflected upon my experiences as an English learner and as a private English tutor through a journal, but also, it was included the voice of some of my students who answered a semi-structure interview to gather information. The interpretation and coding of data was done through thematic analysis. The contributions of the study can be seen in terms of the positive impact and empowerment of distance education on EFL pre-service teachers, the development professional skills to position as a teacher through entrepreneurship in covid -19 times.
