Resumen
The supply chain comprises processes from the collection of inputs that producers require for the creation of a production line, to the delivery and use of the good or service that must meet the requirements for the satisfaction of the final consumer. The following article based on theoretical references and the perspective from an International Cargo Agent of Central America aims to reflect on: the factors that influence the high costs of land transport being a fundamental factor in the decision-making of the actors involved; the logistic performance indicators to be taken into account for measuring delays in land transport in the supply chain, for better time performance in the transport of goods; and finally the importance of eliminating bottlenecks in land transport in Central America, with the quality of road infrastructure playing a key role, in making decisions to choose to conduct any type of international business that benefits those involved in the supply chain stages.
