Resumen
The objective of the research is to identify the different forms of use, appropriation and transformation of the urban border area of La Parada Village Center -Municipality of Villa del Rosario, Norte de Santander- as a study area through concepts such as city, public space, border, sense of belonging and territoriality from an interdisciplinary perspective and through the use of participant observation as a qualitative research tool. This research is developed through the development of an interdisciplinary theoretical framework -architecture / social sciences- supported by the implementation of a mixed ethnographic methodology based on the implementation of tools such as participant observation and the survey.
This is why it can be said that, in the area under study, binational border integration and development spaces, spaces or zones through which the inhabitants, workers and all those who use it daily, permanently build and they regulate the socio-cultural and physical guidelines that precede it, giving rise to the generation of new forms of use and appropriation of the border urban space, both physical and experiential.
