Resumen
In emerging countries women face difficulties to reach economical freedom and professional development. In the same way, access to higher education and high positions in labor market are most focused in men. Energy sector is not the exception, among all disciplines there is a few contribution of women that causes gender unequality. Frequently women struggle to be known the same way as men, finding obstacles to access to working market, posibilities of promotion and stability once they got the position. Beside it, this behavior affects negatively the industry since not to allow equal access to women discourage competences in an industry that is in constantly development and require a lot of positive leadership and work team. Facing enormous challenges such as sustainable development, prosperity and world peace can not be achieved without reduce gender unequality to minimum levels. According to this aim one of the goals raised in chapter number 5 is to reach full equal access to higher education and dignified work and involve women in making important decisions in public sector in terms of political and economical impact and also in corporative governance.
