Resumen
This project aimed to inform a research carried out in a public school in Chocontá, Cundinamarca. The main objective was to determine how EFL students in 10th grade engaged in reading in English through the implementation of reading workshops in the mobile library context. The type of design was action research, since it focuses on the solution of classroom problems or difficulties having in mind the characteristics of qualitative research. The instruments for data collection were students’ artifacts, journals and students´ interview, open instruments, considering that the data gathered attempted to inform on how the students engaged in EFL reading and enjoyed it. The importance of EFL reading habits, the use of reading strategies and the implementation of contextualized and illustrated texts to achieve engaging reading were the main results of this research.
