Resumen
This research measured two psychological components: mindfulness and stress coping strategies, among practitioners of 3 styles of martial arts (Taekwondo, Aikido and Kung Fu) and another group not practicing any sport. This research was quantitative, not experimental, cross-sectional type, correlational in scope and with a non-probabilistic sample, which

consisted of 50 people practicing martial arts and 50 people not practicing martial arts, to whom the following instruments: Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) and the Coping Strategies Scale - Modified (EEC-M). the average of the scores of each of the components show higher levels in the problem-centered strategies in the group of practitioners, while in the group of non-practitioners, the strategies focused on emotion and avoidance were greater; also that the group of practitioners, has slightly higher levels of mindfulness. On the side of the statistical tests, the results show significant differences in the components of Wait (= 0.06) and aggressive Reaction (= 0.014), between the group of martial artists and non-practitioners. Finally, to find if there were differences between each groups, the Tukey test was performed for multiple comparisons between groups, where they show differences in the components of Wait, Avoidance Emotional and Aggressive Reaction.
