Resumen
According to the National Library of Medicine of the United States and the Medline Plus portal, mental health affects the human being in the way they think, perceive and feel, therefore, enjoying good mental health positively influences the emotional state, well-being psychological and social aspects of people, thus increasing the probability of reaching their maximum potential, increasing their productivity, generating healthy relationships, contributing positively to their community and managing stress well. That said, the identification, evaluation and management of psychosocial risk factors in companies positively influences the health of workers, significantly increases productivity in the organization, decreases the rate of accidents and absenteeism, improves the work environment, among others (CV Ávila Jerez, JP Rojas Tamayo and LF Santos Naranjo Luisa Fernanda, 2018, pp. 39) thus showing the indispensableness of implementing measures aimed at combating and preventing Psychosocial Risk factors in organizations through an Epidemiological Surveillance Program for Psychosocial Risk Management, focused on promoting the mental and physical health of workers.
