The study brings together the life stories of three language teachers: Juan, Sofía and Clara (pseudonyms) who teach English and Spanish. This work focused on narrative design, which allowed to answer the research question: What do the life stories of three language teachers reveal about being a Language teacher? Second, it is to respond to the objectives: To describe the personal and professional characteristics of a language teacher as revealed through the narration of three language teachers’ life stories, and to reflect on the personal and professional characteristics of a good language teacher as revealed through the narration of three language teachers’ life stories.The research analysis was carried out by following to the paradigmatic analysis proposed by Polkinghorne (1995, cited in Bernal, 2004). This paradigmatic analysis in search common themes in a set of stories collected as data of base. Therefore the gathered information was analyzed, codified and categorized. This characterization revealed the features that make of these three teachers “good language teachers.
