Resumen
: Hydraulic protrusions is a phenomenon that occurs within spillways, dam intakes or spill dams, this represents a dissipation of energy which is essential to study for a correct design of hydraulic structures.
The main purpose of the study is to use different types of linings and landfills to see if changing the type of material improves energy dissipation and in turn optimizes the excavation process in the bed of the structure where the hydraulic protrusion is presented.
The tests will be experimental, they will be successful in the hydraulics laboratory of the Santo Tomas University in Villavicencio. The rectangular channel was adapted where the weir was located at a prudent distance for the flow to stabilize, the final gate was located at a height between 5cm and 10cm so that it generated the hydraulic ridge without drowning occurring in the weir, the data was collected in a systematic way with the help of a table.
The result of the tests carried out with the different types of section and material of landfills and different coatings, it was evident that it can increase energy and the sea, leaving a constant slope and increasing the flow, or leaving a constant flow, and the slope will go down. in both cases, using a rougher coating causes the before and after weir ties to increase but the height of the shoulder to decrease.
