Resumen
Colombian mythological characters manifest hidden moral behavioral virtues
for a negative connotation that, for the protagonists of these traditional stories,
they represent the social behavioral expectations of an individual. This project
takes advantage of such narrative richness as an input for character design and the development of a
contemporary narrative plot using graphic narration as a support for recreation
visual of the story and its characters. The creation proposal is theoretically framed in
Eisner's graphic narrative stance, character construction by archetypes
following Galán's proposal, the myth according to Barthes, and the levels of moral development of
Kohlberg. Mythological characters were categorized methodologically according to the
classification of the Colombian folklorologist Guillermo Abadía (older, younger and frightening),
for a later analysis of four main categories: physical characteristics, mythical origin,
behaviors and victims that would allow to build an argument framework for the personality of
the redesigned mythical characters.
