Resumen
The main objective of this research was to analyze the perspectives and disposition of the workforce in young people who attend the last two levels of the International Business program of the Santo Tomás University (USTA) Bucaramanga section. The variables are analyzed according to the expectations of young people to be part of an organization or create a business idea. On the other hand, the requirements of the surveyed companies (EPS and IPS) regarding the professional profiles that they tend to employ to fulfill administrative functions are analyzed. The study responds to the high unemployment rate in the country since 2019.
This research used quantitative and qualitative data, with a descriptive design that concluded with the difference in opinions of young people and EPS and IPS regarding the skills required in an organization. In this regard, young people have a globalized vision of the world and, for their part, companies seek to satisfy their growth needs. Paradoxically, this prevents them from giving value to the potential that young people bring in expanding into the international labor market. For their part, young people do not take into account the importance of office automation skills necessary to function in the administrative field of companies.
