This research refers to the didactic strategies used by teachers to teach reading and writing in the third grade of primary school at the Ethnoeducational Institution Los Córdobas - Córdoba, these strategies are defined as the procedures (methods, techniques, activities) to organize actions in a conscious way to contribute and achieve planned and unforeseen goals.

As is generally known, teachers must implement the most appropriate strategies for teaching reading and writing, but this is sometimes reflected in the apathy and discouragement that many students present when facing these challenges, which in turn brings as a consequence: low academic performance and difficulties when presented with any kind of tests.
