Abstract
The present research work Verbal insults and their incidence in school coexistence Case study: students of cycle 3 - Sierra Morena School, headquarters D day tomorrow, proposed as a general objective to analyze verbal insult as a communicative exercise that leads to construction and de-construction of social relations, between boys, girls and young people of cycle 3 of the Sierra Morena School headquarters D whose ages are between 11 and 14 years old. And as specific objectives; Identify which verbal insults are used repeatedly by students. Recognize the situations that promote the use of verbal insults in the school environment. Establish the intention of the communicative act in accordance with the pragmatic value of the words called verbal insults in verbal interaction, with the aim of establishing the effects they have on those attacked and thus propose, in the future, some coexistence strategies mediated by the dialogue. Interest in this research field arises from the observation made during teaching practice and is established as a case study.
Methodologically, the research is of a qualitative type and is raised from an interpretative approach. The research techniques applied were participant observation and focus group.
Regarding the main results obtained in the development of the research, it was possible to establish the type of words that students use to verbally attack each other, the use they make of them in different conflict situations and the communicative intention that the use of each term implies.
