Resumen
Due to changes in culture and market trends in construction, residences are always reinventing themselves. Currently, as a consequence of climate change and the abuse that ecosystems have sometimes been, it is important to reflect and think about the indiscriminate use of materials that pollute the environment. It is necessary to change this and develop inputs that take into account the conservation of natural resources. It is there where you can find products thinking about sustainability and recovering raw materials that are not in use. Within this logic arises the design of an ecological material, which can be used in different commercial areas. This project is developed within the possibility of transforming the leather chip, through the design of an ecological brick material and ecological finished material that can be useful in construction projects. The objective of the project is to develop an ecological material from leather shavings for the interior design of offices and rooms. The methodology used in the project is formal exploration to select a suitable process for the elaboration of the previously proposed products. Likewise, the evaluation of the physical and mechanical characteristics from a technical point of view is proposed, through compression, fragmentation, temperature and efflorescence tests. Finally, a commercial prefeasibility study of each product is identified through the canvas model, in order to identify the key actors in the project and the development of the cost structure of each product. With the manufacture of these elements, it is expected to obtain favorable economic, social and environmental results in terms of creating ecological materials from leather shavings.
