Resumen
The context of production of this work is the professional practice carried out with teachers of the
district of the locality 19 Ciudad Bolívar, within the framework of the Chair of Pedagogy Bogota a Great
School 2005, of the Secretary of Education of the District. First of all, this work is an attempt to
systematize that experience, which starts from the question about the vital relationship of these subjects –
teachers and teachers - with the locality.
As a frame of reference, the city-school relationship is taken up, developed in some proposals
of an educating city, but whose general context is urban pedagogy. Notwithstanding this work
it does not refer to the problem of learning spaces, or of the city-education or school-city relationship
in its entirety, rather, it is based on some arguments developed in this regard, to
try to interpret the dynamics of this relationship in Ciudad Bolívar, taking for the case, the
teachers experience. This is not to say that this is the only way to approach the issue of
city-school from the local level.
