Resumen
The aim of this systematic review was to systematize the selected research articles on suggestibility in children to identify findings, advances and evaluation instruments used within the legal and forensic context. To accomplish this, research articles published between 2008 and 2018 that covered this topic were collected, finding consensus within scientific community on several findings. Primarily, it was found that the presence of some psychological variables, theory of mind, attachment, verbal ability and vocabulary, allows children to have a lower probability of suggestibility. Therefore, the evaluation of these variables would allow professionals to talk about the probability of suggestibility of a child. Additionally, it was established in several articles that the use of closed questions in interviews was found to be highly damaging, since they lead to a greater suggestion. Finally, it is important to conduct rigorous interviews that diminish suggestibility to the minimum extent possible, which will allow the collection of a testimony with accurate information.
